Kern standard

It's my second Kern standard (and second 400 day also). I found it today on flea market. Movement is in good condition, suspension spring is broken. Unforunately dome is missing. It needs good cleaning and polishing. Now I will have to look for glass dome somewhere...

Hello, That will look nice when it's cleaned up. It looks like an early one, maybe post WW2, early to Mid 50's

kdf nice clock I like the roman numerals I am on the lookout for one like this a complete service and polishing and it will look fantastic.

Finding a glass dome is not that difficult many a time you will come across a cheap quartz clock with a suitable dome.

Unfortunately, modern clocks almost always have plastic dome, rather then glass. But of course, it's still better then nothing.
