Just finished cleaning a 50's era K & O 400 Day and replaced the torsion spring using the Horolavar book as a guide. The clock runs fine before the hands are attached. It will also run with just the hour hand attached. The minute hand is held by a pin, and as soon as it is attached, the clock will run a few minutes and then stop. Added info: The flat and spring washer on the canon pinion don't provide enough tension to keep the minute hand from flopping, but if I shim it to give it tension, the clock stops. Any help is greatly appreciated.
