Got no one around here, other than the my wife, that would appreciate the work involved here.:(
Picked this cuckoo up for $20 at a flea market. It was missing the topper, pendulum, weights, the single leaf on the left side bottom and the tassel.
I was going to order a new topper, but this being a 27" cuckoo, it would take the largest one and at a $120, I thought I should try my hand at making one, along with a leaf for the left side and the tassel.
I did break down and bought the deer head.

Nice job Billy, you collect cuckoo clocks too?
What is the material that you used?

Thanks Guys,
I'm just happy I still have all my digits and didn't have to use up my supply of band-aids.:p
The wood I used was popular, seems to carve easy and accepts stain well.

Kevin, I'll collect anything that's been beaten down and try to resurrect it.
