• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

This is the strangest clock I have. It is a Benjamin Smith of Alfreton Brass Dial. I believe he was in business from 1774-1803. It has a W. Francis False plate. The info. I could find says he worked from 1810-1834. So there's a gap there. The odd thing is it has quarter hour minute markers but outside of the roman Numerals is spelled out GEORGE PARKIN. It runs great, I love it. Thanks!

Great thanks. Unfortunately t looks to me like a 1770's clock wth a 30 hr. movement that was converted to an 8 day in the early 1810's. I love it anyway and basically pad nothing for it.

It is uncommon for a brass dial clock to have a false plate. So, your thoughts of a possible marriage seem more than a bit likely.
