just wondering how you would go about correctly letting down the mainsprings on this movement ?
i have tried the old grabe hold of it with let down tool use your strongest finger to grab the click spring retainer
and ease the spring down. problem i cant grab the click spring retainer and hold it off the click to let this happen as there is practically not enough to grab hold off. do you remove the click spring first then proceed as normal ?
A05 is that the date code how does it work please?

'A 05' indicates the movement was made in the first half of the year 1905.

I use a flat blade screwdriver to push the click away from the click wheel. The movement must be held tightly. One way is to place the movement in your lap so it won’t turn while you are letting down the springs

It looks like the spring could be lifted out of the groove in the click. If you turn the movement with the click downward, when you release the tension with the let down tool it should fall out of the way.
