after the Second World War, German firms had to supply clocks and watches and also movements, (eg Alarm clocks), as reparation preferred by France and Russia. Specifically by Junghans we know that Junghans supplied movements to ODO. That was about in the years 1946 to 1950.
We can read on your movement even when the movement was made: The numbers 47 10 show a production in October 1947.
Congratulations: a historic clock with time history!
Sharon, I had an ODO wall clock with a Junghans movt. marked "Odo", a while ago.
As Albra mentioned, those movements were supplied for reparations after the war.
I believe there will be an article about the Junghans/Odo clock coming up in the NAWCC clock & watch bulletin soon.
