Here it is with my janky bear amplifier . It sounds good to me, perhaps a tiny bit could be tweaked, do you mind weighing in?

Funny thing. Eemoore was very helpful in pointing out the crutch is friction-fit. The only chime movement I had worked with before was an Enfield Westminster that had a tab on the crutch that was friction fit but the crutch itself was fixed on a steel bar. Even after eemoore clued me in I accidentally set the crutch askew when threading it through the back plate (the 8th or 9th time I had it split) and felt sheer terror about getting it back to the “right place” again. Now it is running much stronger than ever (new spring likely helps too) so happy accidents and lessons for me have abounded with this clock.

That said I am going to keep it right where it is on the dining room table, keeping a suspicious side-eye in its direction until AFTER April 1st safely passes me by.

In beat?

Sounds good to me. If not right on, it is certainly close. Others may have better hearing than I. More important is the amount of overswing; how much farther the pendulum swings after you hear a tick. That looks good as well to me. We will see what others have to say.

At the very beginning of the video in post #48 I can faintly hear a clock that sounds out-of-beat. But as the video comes around to the rear of this clock, I can see the pendulum swing doesn't align with the ticks I'm hearing, so I must be hearing a different clock. Then the chimes kick in and the ticking can no longer be heard.

I don't believe this clock was the source of the out-of-beat ticking that was heard.

Nice clock! I like these Junghans clocks. Nice, ornate looks and rich chimes within a relatively small case (compared to a long case).
