I have a Jules Jergenson Pocket Watch 18k Gold - 17 Jewels - 5 Adjustments - Serial No16060 - Weight 71 g

I am trying to find a website where I can check the Serial No for more information.

Also if you see photos below, it is engraved Copenhagen & ?, I cannot make out what that second name is.

Can anyone help please.

See photos below.

Thanks

Lee

Hi Lee,

It says 'Copenhagen & Switzerland'.

Regards,

Graham
Thanks Graham

Now I have looked more closely, I can see that S connected to W,

Do you know of a website, where I can check Jules Jurgensen Serial No's, I am scouring the net, and not having any look.

Thanks

Lee

In the book "THE JÜRGENSEN DYNASTY" There is a list of their serial numbers for Chronometers and watches. Though these end with the years 1914-1915 when the numbers for that year were 16020-16050. So I would think your watch was made in 1916-1917. The watches would have continued during the first world war because the Swiss were not involved.

Allan.
