    Hello,

    Horolgical books are always interesting.

I have in my small library a french book: "Chronometríe" by Jules Andrade, 382 pages, published in 1908 par l´ENCICLOPÉDIE SCIENTIFIQUE.

I know there are other book by the same author: "Horlogerie et Chronometrie", 582 pages, published in 1924.

I would like to know if the part of this second book about Chronometrie have the same information that brings the first book by Jules Andrade published in 1908.

If someone have read this books by Jules Andrade, maybe can help me about this question.

The second book part about Horlogerie, I think will be interesting, but maybe I already have the Chronometrie information in my 1908 Jules Andrade book.

Thank you all for your answers.

    Miguel

There is at least one other book on horology by that author:

    J. Andrade

The Horlogerie book you ask about is clearly the most substantial one it has at least twice, but probably three times the content of the 1908 book. The 1922 book is a very theoretical book on escapements only.
