found this on Germany´s equivalent to craigs list: a nice clean Mod.49 from June 1953.It has the anchor with fixed pallets as usual,but peep holes,two jewels and the third wheel maintaining power device intact.The base has two of the hidden leveling skrews and it came with what appears to be the original dome without chips or cracks . The deep blue laquer shows verry little flaking on the base,everything under the dome is in exellent shape.After adjusting the beat it´s running nicely. Of cause it will recieve a full service the next days,but I´m not going to make it look as new , just a bit of dusting and cleaning,but no polish or relaquer.IMO it looks pretty good considering its 66 years of age. (Udo Jürgens used to sing a song about being 66 years old and still going strong ) for those of You that can understand a little bit of German. Enjoy! Burkhard
