Hi, does anyone know Jim Reid or know how to reach him? In Tran's Seth Thomas book he owned a clock I'm trying to get some information on for restoration.

It's a pretty common name. Can you provide a state or any other information that would narrow the search?

I found Jim in New Mexico and he verified was a rectangular weight which is what makes sense since it's mostly hidden. They wouldn't have gone through the extra expense to use a brass shelled weight which wasn't seen. Clock was sold to me with brass weight...but wanted to be sure before switching. If anyone has a ~7lb rectangular weight for sale please let me know...about 1" wide for a Seth Thomas #62 movement.
