The National Watch & Clock Museum recently acquired, via donation from the Deutsches Uhrenmuseum in Furtwangen, Germany, several clock movements that will help flesh out the Museum's European collection. Among these is this lacquered shield clock with "Surrer", a special striking train, dating from c. 1840-1860. Once these items are processed, we hope to have some of them on exhibit. Thank you to the Deutsches Uhrenmuseum for their generous donation. 80437.jpg 80438.jpg 80439.jpg
