So, this is a clock I have been trying to buy intermittently since 1978-79. I finally picked it up at the SOR last week. It is a rare version of an Ives clock. Not many of these style movements around, Ives evidently built very few of them and fewer survived. It uses 11 pound weights, necessary to power the extra wheels in the clock train. Not one of Ives best ideas. But, still a very interesting clock IMO.

Lee Davis redid the tablet and the numbers on the dial in 1985. He worked downright reasonably in those days? The clock won a couple of Chapter 18 awards a long time ago, hence the ribbon and the medal. There was also a name and address of another NAWCC fellow in the case who had made an offer to buy it a long time ago. So, rare does not equal valuable when it comes to OG's but this one was not cheap and others recognized it to be of interest also.
