This Jauch 77 doesn't keep good time. Can't imagine why!!
An example of why you should not use an electric can opener on an escape wheel?
How to you manage to do that? It must have been done manually by someone's hand.
I'd guess that's taken an uncontrolled spin at some point when someones removed the anchor without letting the spring down, and its caught a pallet on the way out or when they tried to put it back in to stop it!
Now go and straighten the teeth....
The anchor setting screws were both loose when I got it. I assume the owner or someone who "can fix anything" decided it was a good idea to loosen the screws before removing the time weight. This one is toast, and I was able to find another one. David LaBounty had one in his bone pile that is in good shape. The poor thing must have made a terrible howl as the weight descended!
