    Hello,

Please could anyone tell me the thread type at the bottom of the invar ITR pendulum rod? I have a pendulum where the bottom is bent and need to acquire a die of the correct size to clean up the thread.

    Many thanks

    Richard

If you have a set of calipers, you could measure the outer diameter of the threaded portion and measure the distance between threads...measure the distance over say 10 "peaks" and divide by 10. If metric, you're looking for the number of mm-per-thread.

Or you could go to a local hardware store. They usually have a board with a range of nuts/bolts to be used for sizing. Maybe that would be useful.

    Hi,

I measured it at one time so I could make an adjuster for the end. It measured 1/4 - 44, which is an oddball. I tried to get a die and it would have to be made at a phenomenal price.
