Hi all. Is anyone able to identify this clock, please? It's a single-train timepiece with a circular movement and it looks very "Ansonia" to me, although there is no visible maker's name on it. Having scrolled through hundreds of images of Ansonia clocks, I haven't seen one like this yet.

It has also been suggested that it's French, which I'm now thinking is more likely.

    Thank you,

    Phil

The movement looks to be French, as do the hands. If it is not marked in any way, it will be difficult to identify the maker. At least you have the presentation plaque to permit an approximate date of manufacture.

The work around the dial and decoration is also very typical of a French clock.

Thank you both, I appreciate your thoughts. The presentation plaque is dated December 1887.

    Very typically French.
