Your watch, made in the second quarter of 1961 looks straight to me. I have seen plenty of unadjusted Rolex watches and the dual reference numbers is something I have seen plenty of times as well. The story goes that when the USA came down hard on Foreign made watches in the late 40's to early 50's in a vain attempt to save the USA's watch industry, we put heavy duties on watches that were "adjusted" . The "story" is that the Swiss simply exported adjusted watches that were marked "unadjusted". Anyway, it looks ok. The way it is fastened in does not look to good does it? I would like to see the dial though...

Thanks for the info guys, this Rolex was purchased in Hong Kong in 61or62 by a friend of mine for all of $30.00 Got suspicious when I saw the unadjusted, so I thought I'd get some expert advice.

I heard there was a co author to that book, but the name slips my mind :)

Steve, you mean our moderator? Yes, he's one in the same. I'm sure you're forgiven, I made the same mistake a while back.
