That movement was made by FHF (Fabrique d'Horlogerie de Fontainemelon). Patent CH51482, Mécanisme de remontage et de mise à l'heure, is a patent granted to FHF (mechanism for winding a watch and setting the time).

Teleluca, I can understand why you thought the movement might be based on a LeCoultre Kaliber 6 ebauche. I understand that the similar looking movement shown below was based on that ebauche. Warwian, do you agree that the movement below was based on a LeCoultre Kaliber 6 ebauche. It's a lady's hunter movement.

Ethan, he answered me on instagram. I'll replay to you in his behalf
"It is so difficult to attribute movements to ebauche makers, especially movements with this general layout. Similar movements were made by LeCoultre, FHF, Husson & Retor, Parrenin-Marguet/Hippolyte Parrenin, and Phenix just to name a few
In fact, many high grade movements attributed to LeCoultre were made by Husson & Retor in Geneva, a company that LeCoultre then took over in 1911, which confuses it further

The movements by Parrenin are very similar too
This one looks like it might have been made by LeCoultre, but has the stamp of Husson & Retor:

By the way, your FHF ebauche watch may have been a school watch. The numbering used "866.1" was used by some schools. I am not an expert in school watches, but I believe it meant first watch by pupil 866. If it was the second made by the pupil, it was 866.2"

FWIW, I have an incomplete Le Coultre movement that I believe is a caliber H6, IIRC, (As told to me by the late Kathleen Pritchard.). It is 9 1/4 lignes. It is marked "Le Coultre" under the barrel-bridge and carries a serial number that is close to Ethan's, #12209. The watch was a private label made for "Chas. Bartons, N.Y.". Somehow the balance bridge was lost somewhere between me and the watchmaker I gave it to to work on. I've been looking for a replacement movement for the 18k case for over 15 years. No luck.

Post # 1 watch is a student watch from the Ecole d'horlogerie , Neuchatel. No.866.1 is his Number..

Correction: Name on watch should read, "Chas. Bartens", not "Bartons".
