Is there something amiss with the thread view counts?

Nothing earth shattering, but I perceive that the thread view counts seem to be off, i.e., too low for some threads.

We are in the last phases of the upgrade process, which has taken much longer than I expected. The view counts are supposed to be 30 day accumulation not the full life of the htread but many istances of that type of information may shift during the upgrade.

Yes, I understand it represents the total # of views over a 30 day period.

This is a very typical Forums posting in terms of what seems to generate interest these days.

It is stated:

WHO HAS READ THIS THREAD IN THE LAST 30 DAYS (TOTAL: 44)

However:

The disparity doesn't make sense. In fact, the # of views typically exceed the # who have read a thread as one person may have viewed the thread multiple times.
