Is there a way to cheat??

I am replacing the suspension spring on a 519 Cal Atmos. When removing the spring and trying to spread the jaws on the regulator ,one side broke off!! I looked at e-bay and noticed two things ....One- the regulators for sale are often still on a spring. Two- Any separate regulators appear to have a side broken off just as mine did!! Not totally sure because the pics weren't that clear but looks like they are pedaling broken regulators like mine. QUESTION....can I cheat and attach the spring another way And if so.....how? Chew on that guys, you always come up with an answer......be nice!!!

It is critical that the spring is centered, so rigging up something is not recommended. Be patient, these appear on eBay regularly, unbroken.

You can make one out hypodermic needles. I've used this method and it works great. Atmos Suspension problem
