Is there a serial number for this Rolex movement? How about the number on the case? What is it?

Please help me to determine the movement type and the year of manufacturing. The case number is 73081. I would appreciate. Need your support. Thanks.

Thank you. I did research and came up with your statement. I believe it's a Rebberg movement. Thank you!

This should be the Aegler caliber 807 (10.5L Rebberg) Some searching will generate the equivalent Rolex caliber number.

There is a partial serial number (last 4) under the dial. I’d be curious to know if it matches your case number

I’m a bit surprised to see Rolex still using this rebberg version in 1923/4

Yes, that’s true. Or Wilsdorf may have just preferred it? I’m not familiar with Rolex, so just surprised.

Aegler’s full serial numbers should’ve been near 1,300,000 at the time, so I’m guessing the 73k is a Rolex number? But it would sure be intriguing if the movement had a “3081” stamp (well, maybe just to me!)
