Is it possible to correct a hunters case that opens greater than 90 degrees?

Is that something easy to accomplish or is that something
only a professional should attempt?

Kind regards

Depends. Look at the hinge and if the tubes are not bent the problem may be a bent hinge pin. You press out the old one, although bent bent this is a bit tricky. Pushing out the pin requires some skill but as much as a hinge replacement. Replace the pin and that may fix it.

If it not that far off leave it balone.

Thank you.

If I send the case to a professional, is this something that costs closer to $100 or $$500 to fix?

Hi topspin,

I've used Adam Phillips here in the UK in the past, and found him a good craftsman, although this quality doesn't come cheap.

Regards,

Graham
