The International 400-Day Clock Chapter #168 of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors was founded in 1995. The purpose of the chapter is to promote interest in and disseminate knowledge about torsion-pendulum clocks. Many publications have been produced by Chapter 168. Currently, the chapter is undergoing a transformation into an online organization. This effort is led by Les McAlister, a founder and a director of the chapter. At this time, dues are not being solicited since no further print publications are currently planned. The chapter journal, The Torsion Times, containing information on repair, collecting, history, dating, and other items of interest on all types of torsion-pendulum clocks has been published most years since the chapter founding. A total of 64 issues were printed and mailed to members. The first 56 issues were black and white, and the most recent 8 issues were printed in full color. Many publications are currently available from the chapter. The first 56 issues are not currently available, but the printer will reprint sets (over 1600 pages) if 5 orders are placed. The most recent 8 issues in color are available. Many other booklets and supplements are also available, in addition to the 144 page, hardbound book published by the chapter, Timely Memories: A Look at Anniversary Clocks. If you are interested in details and a list of currently available publications, just email your request to the treasurer, Frank Servas, email@example.com, and a list with color thumbnails of our publications will be attached to a return email. Orders will be shipped quickly to provide interested persons with useful reading material while we are sheltering in place at home.
