I actually bought this because I have rarely seen an American keywind in an American pear case with hidden key. I think it’s way cool Unscrew the top and there is the key.

Case is near mint. A pain to set the time as you have to remove the watch from the case. I suspect that is why I don’t see many 80C2D0FD-5B95-46CA-B53C-7DDFA3B210DC.jpeg

You mean a pair case, don't you? Only the Waltham P.S. Bartletts had pear cases.

Why do you have to take the movement out of the case to set the time? Unscrew the dial bezel & use the key on the hands

Doesn’t work that way. There is nothing to unscrew. You lift the movement out from the back to access the dial. Have a look at the side view this one is original also

Doesn’t work that way please see my side photo. You can see in this photo the only access is from the back. The bezels do not unscrew. I suspect that’s why there are so few of them around as far as I kno. Pain to set the time with these cases. If yours does it’s not the same case but perhaps a variation

I just got a watch last week with the stemwind fahys junior coin pair case. I like it very much. Was my first pair case.

Nice find, Fahys made some great cases. The hideaway key is always cool.

I have 2 of those. One is a BW Raymond, SN 804. The other one was in a lot of 3 silver cases I got on the big auction site.
Yes, they are aggravating to set. Neat anyway.

Can't be any more aggrivating to set than an old kw hunter, Everytime I pop the bezel up, the glass flies out. No matter what I use to glue, or how carefully I lift it. Thinking of going plastic...:eek:

    Neat watches!
