The Ingraham Liberty I am restoring appears to be different from many of the Liberty clocks I see on line. First of all the case is rounded in the back - not square. Second the base appears to be very plain and is not ornamented. There are some holes in the base next to the main clock body that make it look like something else may have been there before the current clock. However, the entire clock is equally filthy and old - if this was a "swap" of bases, it must have been done ages ago. Question: Did Adams maybe cut corners when he started making these clocks and use a non-standard base...or even reuse bases. I have seen a few...just a few...Liberty clocks with this base. Does anyone know the story here?
