This clock just came into my shop and I do not know much about it.

Requesting information.

A typical but nice French box regulator made by FFR (les Fils de Félicien Romanet) during the 1950's.
Later clocks are told apart from pre-war models going by the case shape which tended to be wider, shorter on postwar examples.
Plays Ave Maria de Lourdes on the quarter hours and strikes hours, also plays Westminster which is selected by a small lever near the '7'.
Quality of construction and chimes tend to be good and the case looks to be free of woodworm.
These clocks were made in France but in recent years have hit a popular contemporary market in Vietnam.

Absolutely beautiful wall clock. As suggested above, this is from the 50s but catalog information is required for an absolute date.
These are quite rare in the states and the owner of this is quite lucky. Enjoy it while in your possession!
