Hi all,
I hope you can help me with some information on this watch. My Aunty in the UK has a watch I have been helping search online for a while now and can't find anything.
It's a ladies, vintage? yellow gold 18ct watch with each side of the band having a 2 piece solid flat and curved, hinged together with a fold over jewellery clasp. The band is 18ct yellow gold and engraved with hieroglyphics and has a safety chain.
The dial is yellow gold coloured with index hour batons and the words 'Geneve, Quartz and Swiss mouvt' .
The back is 18ct yellow gold push on pie pan back and engraved with 18K 0.750. There is nothing on the inside.
The movement is Quartz and engraved ONE (1) JEWEL, SWISS PARTS, ETA, THAILAND MOVEMENT and ??901 005, not sure on the number as its a bit hard to read as I only have pictures from my aunty.

Does anyone know anything??
Thank you for your help and if you have any other questions, please ask me :0)

Lisa

That's an interesting case and band, to be sure. The bow/cross on either side of the band does look a bit like some ancient Egyptian symbolism. I'm guessing that it was a special one-off design made for someone pretty special. Just who that might be is certainly a mystery to me. Good luck finding out some more useful information. Cheers.

Lisa,
Welcome to the NAWCC Forums.:)

The Ladies watch is a fairly common quartz Battery movement, not worth very much at all. The Value would be in the 18K Gold case, for Gold scrap price.

Look at the band ends and see if they are marked or stamped with a Gold trademark, similar to the case. That may add some more value to it.;)

The Long Bow Tie symbol is a Ancient Egyptian Ankh Symbol
