Hello All!
I got this little clock awhile back. At the time, it was utterly filthy, spray bombed gold, and covered in nicotine tar. After doing my best to clean it up it looks decent and I was surprised to find it runs well enough to be used! I tried using Internet archives of Ingraham catalogs to find more info on it, like when it was made. This is where the mystery started. On the back, the clock is Patented December 3 1912 and January 14 1913. It didn’t appear in the 1913-1914 catalog though. It also didn’t show up in the catalogs for 1915-1916 and 1918-1919 although there were clocks very similar to it. The catalogs in the 20s had different style alarm clocks, and the catalogs from 1912 and earlier also came up with no results. Does anyone know anything about it, because I can’t find anything for the life of me. It’s an Ingraham “Vim” alarm clock.
