I've run across a pocket watch (local sale) that has the movement decoratively carved - a butterfly (not a cutout)and some other engraving, with touches of color here and there and rubies? decoratively arranged (not as part of the train). It seems a typical lever escapement otherwise with keywind and set. The dust cover says 'chronometer 35 rubis'. And the front and back covers have a crown and '18' stamped on their insides. But, the case also has a pendant/crown that doesn't work. The case looks discolored in places - not sure it is gold and the workmanship of the movement didn't actually knock my socks off. Anyone seen a movement resembling this before? I thought Chinese duplex or Turkish market but am not sure it's even that good a quality. Wish I'd gotten pictures. There is a 'F' and 'S' for adjustment on the cock - no other markings.
