I have this clock which carries a logo with an inverted horseshoe with the letters CW inside. I believe it is by Carl Werner Uhrenfabrik.
I would like to get an approximate date for the movement if possible.
I have not seen a chime arrangement like this before and wonder whether it is common or not.
Also there is a grooved lever on the rear which looks as though it is designed to restrain the strike hammer and silence the strike. Is that right?
