Picked up a grandfather/grandmother clock about 10 years ago and moving and will unfortunatley need to part with it. I've never really looked into it and would like to get more information on age, manufacturer, and if its worth selling to a clock collector or just donating to a local goodwill.

The back of the clock says erhard jauch uhrenfabrik with a 77 on the bottom. The clock itself says "Tempus Fugit".

Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to the board.

This is a modern clock which sadly has little value in today's market. You could try selling it on something such as Craig's List, but if you look there you will probably find several similar clocks. You could also look on Ebay under 'Completed listings' and see what similar clocks have sold for.

This is an Emperor Model 120 from the 1970's, popularly offered as a build-up kit where one would assemble the case and install a clock movement. Some were offered as complete clocks straight from the Emperor factory instead.

Here we see a typical advertisement for these clock kits, the black walnut kit being among their more popular offerings of the time.
The cases were made in black walnut, mahogany, oak, or cherry. None held any real difference over each other besides the wood graining.

They were a bargain clock + woodworker's project in their heyday and never held any significant monetary value, even when new.
The Jauch 77 movement is prone to excess wear and weak power transmission, making it unpopular with repairmen.

However your clock looks to be complete, which makes it more appealing compared to a clock missing several parts.
The movement can be replaced with a new Hermle, or overhauled by any competent professional.
I would suggest seeing what Goodwill or any local thrift stores would think about selling the clock.
