Morning, it’s been a while since I posted a build. I know I shared my Cowells Lathe purchases with you a few months back but it’s been a good few years since a clock build.

Anyway, I’m fully immersed in my latest build and I’ll post some pictures as I get around to it. I’m building Wildings Small Tower Clock. I’m in desperate need of a 1.0 Module wheel cutter. Disappointingly PP Thornton are out of stock and purely out of impatience, I want to keep going and get the wheels done.

Could anyone help me out in the loan of a 1.0 mod wheel cutter?

I appreciate these are expensive and therefore I would be more than happy to provide a deposit, temporarily send you one of my pp Thornton cutters or other agreement/arrangement you feel suitable. I just want to cut my wheels and keep going!

I am just north of Manchester in the U.K.

Hope someone is willing to help me out.
    Chris

You might have to break down and make a fly-cutter.

Was hoping not to. My success with hand ground fly cutters has been poor and as this if a turret clock, the wheels are large and brass expensive. I need to use a cutter to ensure it’ll definately cut!

    Chris,

Looking forward to your build. I purchased the same plans about a year ago but probably won't start my project for at least another year. Will definitely follow along and learn from your build.

    Best Regards.

Hi Carl, I’m struggling already getting my head around how some of the components are arranged. Especially around the barrel! Feel free to help over on my build thread.
