Illinois Model 7 pendant in lever set case?

Can a 16s Illinois Model 7 pendant set movement (17j Illinois Central two tone bridge) be placed in an Illinois Model 29 RR lever set case, or would the stem and crown not pull up on the case? Don't know how that works...

I have not personally examined a model 29 case, but all of the other cases made for Bunn Special movements, that I have seen, have a set in stem. It will not pull up to allow for a pendant set movement.

My 29 will not set pendant style. Might be possible to change/modify the sleeve?

Brat,

I don't have a model 29, but most of these RR model cases don't have a sleeve at all. Rather, the stem just has a lip turned on it that is too large to fit through the pendant tube, and the stem is retained in place by this lip and the crown.

So, there's not really even any way to modify one.

Thanks for alerting me this won't work! What should I put this pendant set movement it? (It's a large movement/dial) Is there a GF Illinois RR case large enough but pendant style?

AFAIK, no factory Illinois "RR" cases will accommodate a pendant set movement ... Ben and bratdaddy have it right...

perhaps a long pendant case or one of the 'aftermarket' cases?

Do you know anyone who has an "appropriate" white gold case that I could purchase?
When I got the movement, I didn't know it would be so difficult to house. I even took it to my watchmaker and he compared it to a 60 hour #29 I took for comparison, and he said, "get the #29 case you saw advertised and I can put this movement in there."
