Hello friends, I would like to show this Bunn Special. Circa 1897 and if I'm not wrong it is the model 6, tu-tone plate. Really I love his nice dial. its cased in a very big Philadelphia (silverode) case with an engraved engine. I thing the plate was polishe because lost a part of their beauty. the watch runs so strong and lost a few seconds for day. It may not be the perfect watch but it was my first American watch and it helped me to enter this fantastic world.

    Hope you like

    I agree
These Bun's have one of my favorite dial signatures and number style(font).
One of these was also one of my early watch purchases. And they are
    great 18 size RR watches.

Your Bunn Special is a nice way to start a collection. Congratulations. Your watch is as right as rain. The case shows no other screw marks and is perfect for that period, and the dial and hands are just as correct. Regular cleaning over 120+ years has deteriorated the 2-toning on many Illinois watches.

These are lovely watches. Mine is about a year later than Rob's, Serial No. 1905673. My phone is out of commission so I can't take a picture, but my case is a bit more modern looking than either Miguel's or Rob's. It's got those "ears" on the bow that I see on watches that I own from around 1910 to 1915. So if it's a recase, it's from only a few years later.
