OK, when I recased the 16J Bunn, I could not find the set lever. Removed dial to find pendant setting and looked in Meggers and Earhardt. Am I correct that only 200 of these were made?
Wow, Now THAT is embarrassing! Twice I was fooled by the missing lever. Much better pics are in the thread Terry provided.serial 1192557 is here, from Megger's collection including his 'index card'
He indicated this one was17j and 100 production....
I'll be digging this one out for another project soon and if i can, will snap some pics.
Glad to know others are out there.
My first observation of these was a head scratcher....
Fort Mitchell KY show, sometime around 2004-2006 at parking lot sale.
pickup truck tailgate with a box full of 18s Illinois... came across the 'one' with no lever cut in case and said WTH
pulled on crown and it was in setting mode....
still perplexed went to an old timer... John N. told him about it and he said 'need to get it'
when we returned to the truck, of course it was gone gone gone.
Mo Later when i dig it out..
in the mean time, a past thread ... interesting!
