• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Just bought this from a friend, can anyone tell me the model and year? I see no markings other than E.N.Welch on the movement. If it will help I can get a picture of the logo on the movement.

I will be no help in answering your question, Elliott, but congratulations - looks to be in very good condition, and it's always encouraging to see a blurry pendulum in the photographs!

Lovely finish on your clock; the case looks to be in beautiful condition.
The Tran book, item 520 has your clock as the No. 31 as shown in the 1901 catalog. The price indicated is $3.65 with the wire gong, which yours has.
Bruce.

bwclock:

Thanks for finding the clock in the Tran book. Is it an E.N.Welch clock? I found the same glass on a picture of a Sessions clock. Or perhaps a Sessions clock with an E.N.Welch movement?

Any idea how to tell the manufacture date, or date range?

Thanks again.

Sessions took over from Welch in about 1903 (I think), probably why it has the same glass design.
