Can anyone help me understand the name marked on this watch which belonged to my wife's grandfather. The watch is branded Trebex and the movement is by Recta. I am trying to decode the other writing there which for the moment I decode as "favilles". I have seen the same name on another movement found through surfing the internet but haven't found where the name comes from and I haven't confirmed my interpretation of the writing. It could perhaps be the name of a retailer.

This watch and others similar branded Trebex seem to have been used as presentation watches which may be relevant.

Thanks for any information you

can provide.

Yes, it clearly says Favilles. By mikrolisk we see this was a trade name used by the Italian company Italora SA in Milan. But as roughbarked says, they did not make the movement, just had it badged.
