Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

I aquired a novelty minature cuckoo clock. It has a bouncing girl. The name on the movement is j. Encstler which appears very plainly. Can anyone tell me if this is a misprint and should read j. Nestler. It definitely is a vintage model windup.

Hello,

Could you post some photographs of the clock and movement?

I believe that should read J. Engstler. The g may not be struck evenly making it look like a c. This was a German manufacturer who made a lot of novelty clocks post WW 2. Does it have a little blue bird that moves from side to side as it ticks? I saw one like that called the Heidi. Cute clock. Does it work? I saw one where the spring went boinggg. Probably from a child pulling on it.

Do a search for J. Engstler on the net and you can see a lot of different types they made.

Many thanks Missy. I believe you are right about the spelling. The clock does run but movement is rusted . Good challenge. The bird is located top left of clock and does move. A girl figure bounces up and down on a spring. Have a good day...........Lynchis
