Anyone recognize this clock? I’ve seen this body style with Art Deco clocks, but the wood inlay and dial seem from a different era. Wondering if it’s an amalgam, or something that would make sense in the storyline of Star Trek: Picard, where I caught this glimpse of it.

Looks like a typical 'space age' drumhead tambour from the 1950's or later. Most of the common German factories made clocks like this. Junghans, Mauthe, Hermle, etc..

Seems appropriate that it would be French given where Picard lives.

I watched the episode and there was a name on the dial. I just didn't take any notice of what it said.

    Does this help? Capture 1.PNG

I think so. After lots of searching for places that start with LAN in France, I think it’s a . . . Soviet clock?

Thanks for the assistance, everyone. Thanks for the screenshot, leeinv66!
Incidentally folks, any idea why my NAWCC member badge doesn’t show? I turned it on, does it take a certain number of posts or something?

It's something that updates when they do maintenance on the system. I'll get it taken care of.

Why YES, it Is Soviet. A brand called Lantaz, midcentury mantle clock. Must be a story there with Picard ancestery. Hmmm.

Yes, it is a clock from the Soviet Union, but the name on the dial is not Lantaz. It is Jantar (can also be written Yantar, depending on what orthography is used), a product of the Yantar clock factory in Orel (also written Oryol).
