Hi Guys,

Run into this clock,boulle witch you all know i like.

But can anybody tell me something about the movement?
It has a mark of a flower?? and the numbers 11 12 1,you can not see it on the photo,but that is what im told.

Is this common such a sort pendulum?
(and what name/word is pressed in to the wood just under the pendulum?Dien..??

Ps: what is the difference between the number four wenn its IV and IIII ?
IIII is this older?

hello that sybol being upside down threw me for abit but it is the mark of haas&soehne OF GERMANYFOUNDED IN 1867 AND DISSOLVED IN 1920
SO THE CLOCK IS IN BETWEEN THESE TIMESsorry about tha caps nice clock regards ray

In dealing with Roman numerals--many older clock companies thought the IIII looked more symmetrical and balanced than the IV--especially when considering the other side had VII and VIII . I probably agree with that.

The unque logo on the gong bracket of the Jackrabbit is a "dead-give-away" of the maker's name. Phillip Haas & Sons.

But one wonders about the originality of the clock with the gong base up-side-down. Other clues suggest a marriage.
