Saw this mantle clock with matching candlesticks at a good friend’s home. He stated clock was handed down to him by his grandfather. Anyone with any information on this decorative clock would be appreciated. Thank you

This appears to be a product of the Gilbert Clock Co., made ca. 1900. Below are pictures from Tran Duy Ly's book on Gilbert clocks.

The first is of a similar clock. I was unable to find an exact match in Tran's book.

The second picture is of Candelabra No. 305, which appears to be what you have.

Thank you for identifying this movement. Does the center nut ( controlling the hand movement) require a pulling tool for its removal?

Check around the shaft. It there is no set screw (probably not), proceed to use a set of small pry bars to carefully pry straight up. DO NOT BEND THE ARBOR! CAREFULLY - STRAIGHT UP. If you are not comfortable with this, go to a local clock repair shop for help. The pry bars are available at Merritts or Timesavers. Good luck!
