I really like center seconds pocket watches

Don’t know why but I very much enjoy them. I’m wondering how many others find them so interesting and enjoyable. Lots of Swiss available, not so much American. I put together the ones I’m fortunate to have - not including stopwatches. I have no idea how this will come through to the forum reader but I’ll try. Let me now should you want better images.

Here are a few more photos. It is the top level version of this movement genre, i.e. fusee + overcoil hairspring + screwed chatons, here with the extremely rare (in this movement genre) additional "up and down". Hallmarks: Chester 1906 (quite late for a fusee watch, but case number and movement number match)

Another English example that has @ bit different dial layout and movement is full plate .. Hallmarked mid 1830’s If I remember, away from details currently, and has a Massey III roller…

I do like center seconds, as well and have both the Elgin doctor's watch and the Waltham '84 chrono in my collection. Does this Waltham double dial chrono also count? It has a center seconds, but on the back. It is a private label for an Australian retailer. In a custom made aluminum case using a silver dime for the crown.
