Hi all forum reader!
There is someone information about Dickie & Sons, Richmond early spindle watch movement? I was looking for the internet, but almost no hit. When manufactured this pocket watch around? It would indeed one movement with masonic symbols?
Many thanks! Peter from Hungary

Hello Peter,

Your watch is very interesting if only for the watch cock. though sorry to say there is no mention of Dickie and Son Richmond in Loomes. It could be Andrew Dickie of London who did have a son who was also a watchmaker. I will try to find out more for you and let know what I find. Regards, Allan

Hi Allan!
Thank you for quick answer. I fund just one earlier auction on ebay from user sixpips1:
DICKIE & Sons London VERGE FUSEE Pocket Watch Movement circa 1795 | eBay
His movement number is 6121, manufactured in London, and he thinks it comes circa 1795.
I searched it on sites also: Clock and Watch Research - Online Library - Search for clock and watch makers listed on the website or Search results from the horology and scientific instruments database.Compiled by World Museum - World Museum, Liverpool museums
But i found nothing.

Andrew Dickie was one of the judges for the longitude prize.

sternerp, nice movement. sixpips1 is a seller, not a user. I assisted this seller just last week,
with a correction.

They're a good stand-up seller though.

eBay sellers are users of eBay and many of them also buy. I like sixpips. :)
