Hi, recently I got a incomplete HXM 400 day clock, I tried to google to find more information about the clock but didnt find anything. Anyone here has any information on the clock. The top part and the suspension parts are also missing. Also like to know the right pendulum for it.
The 400-Day repair guide lists this clock produced by Georg Wurthner probably in the early 1950s. There's a note in the appendix that indicates the "HXM" misstamping of "XHM" from a German importer. The guide lists both the HXM and XHM plates and are essentially the same. As for the pendulum, the guide doesn't seem to show this one which I presume is the small one to the right of the clock. The guide suggests a 0.004" suspsension spring which I believe a pendulum weighing about 11-12 ounces would be appropriate.
As for replacement parts, I'd contact The Horolovar Store and tell them about your clock and see if they have some spare parts to offer.
