Hi again,
This is further to my previous post in respect to this clock movement -
I am at the stage of reassembly - Has anyone got some tips for me in respect to setting up the strike train, there are few extra things to consider - sequence of the hammer and lifting rods, the cuckoo bird actuating cam and of course the stop setting.
I have done many Regula and there is a better latitude for adjustment after assembly. But this one looks a bit of a fiddle - someone may have an easy way to go about it. Would appreciate assistance
Regards candix

Sorry, no easy was that I know of. The way I do it is to get the upper train set up first.

Did you take the gathering pallet off? If you did, did you put it back on in the same orientation to the lobe that lifts the bird lock arm? That is the starting point. When the movement is locked, the lobe, looking from the back of the movement, is pointing to about three to four o'clock. If that's all correct, then you just need to split the plates at the bottom and turn the chain wheel until it's in the right place (without turning the wheels above). It will most likely take a few tries.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your comments,
Yes, I did inspect the operation of this clock before I disassembled it and am up to speed on this - I always take off the gathering pallet on any clock as I can sneak the correct position for the strike lifting pins, however I also have to consider the cuckoo cam as well - anyway thanks for your comments it looks like this will have to be done the hard way (and time consuming too)
