I had a broken foot on my black mantel clock so I had to buy new. They are shiney pot metal and I want to discolor or tarnish them.

What can I use?

Thanks
Larry

Try using Rub-N-Buff. It is like a waxy polish that can be silver, gold, or tarnish. You can get it at an art supply store.
