how to restore/polish french marble clock

Dear fellas,

I am new here. I picked up a french marble clock with a bronze figure on top. one part of the marble piece is broken. Previous own simply glued it back. how to properly fix this? please see the picture below:

Also there is some scratch on the surface of the marble platform. what's the best we to re polish it? please see the pic below:

You could take it to a local stone/countertops company. They have all the right supplies and tools to make it look like new.

As i can recalled, i don't think we have such shop in Sydney area....anyone from Australia can give me more info?

These types of repairs are not entirely simple or straightforward to do well. The basic technique is to use a special resin for this type of stone to re-attach pieces that have fallen off, then use a resin filled with powder or crystals of the stone from which the case was manufactured, or something coming close in colour, to fill cracks, etc. Finally you sand and polish to the required finish, re-colour if necessary and wax.

You would typically use products from Tenax and/or Repairlux.
