Hi can’t seem to understand how I remove this gear from a Schmid movement. I’m used to them having clips but have never seen one like this. Any help is appreciated thanks

I’ve never seen that either. It has to be pressed on. The only way I see to remove it is to pry it off. Maybe two small flat screwdrivers inserted into the holes in the spring and pry or twist it loose:???:

Looks like those winding arbors might pull out the front. This will allow you to remove the spring barrels and leave the center wheel in place? Willie X

Won't the cannon pinion come off frontwards, maybe with a bit of heat? As per Willie.
Then the rest of the trains, including the barrels, will just fall out.

Yeah, looks like a friction fit to me. Would probably come off with some even leverage on opposite sides.
