How do I open this watch

I have just received a watch that I believe to be a Size 18 Waltham Model #1877, "Appleton, Tracy & Co." grade in a nice gold-filled hunter case.
I would like to open the watch and examine the movement but I do not know how to do so-
I would appreciate some advice as to the correct procedure for opening the case.
