I followed a reference to one of our Encyclopedia articles and found that the many links in the Encyclopedia article are not at all obvious.

One has to search the text, like a “Where’s Waldo” puzzle, to find the links. Is there a way to make the linking text more obvious, such as with color or underlining? Also, it would be very helpful if the linked image came up in a new tab or window so one does not have to constantly back up to keep reading.

Jerry - I have overcome this problem by right mouse click on the post number (the number proceeded by # in the top right corner) to bring the post up in a new tab. Then I open the images in the second tab. One extra step, but it is easy and convenient.

Maybe so, if you know the trick, but it is not user friendly for visitors who may not have the knowledge or patience to explore different tricks.
